‘Choke’ director clears up score confusion
Last month, we’ve posted reports from the BBC that Radiohead were up for the score of the Chuck Palahniuk film ‘Choke’, which was quickly denied.
Director of the film, Clark Gregg, cleared up some of the confusion. “The WHOLE score, the ‘Choke’ director joked. “[In fact] they wrote most of the script. They did a lot of the catering. They actually hand sewed most of the costumes but because they don’t want people to know how much work they did we’ve promised to keep it secret. For now we’re just saying they gave us the one song.
“My role actually performed by Thom Yorke,” Gregg continued, laughing. “But I cant reveal that for another six years. It’s just a part of the contract.”
A Radiohead song, ‘Reckoner’, is indeed in the film (it plays over the end credits) but that’s about as far as it goes. It’s not even a new song.
So how did the whole thing start anyway?
“I think there was some confusion. I think it came out of a trip to Europe that Chuck and I made. Suddenly BBC radio was reporting that Radiohead had done an original score,” Gregg said. “I wrote them a letter of apology and just to make it up to them I went to their concert in LA and worshipped them.”

Chuck was just flapping around a lie. Reminds me of Sarah Palin whenever she opens her mouth.
